(LATA) is a new silent sport and outdoor recreation group has
recently formed in the Ladysmith Area. The purpose of this group
is to promote, develop, educate, and enjoy silent sports in the
Ladysmith Area. LATA maintains two trails in the area.
Sisters' Farm Trail

equally divided between trails groomed for classical only and
dual technique trails for classical and skating. All of these

race (the picture is from 1998).

Ladysmith High School Lighted Loop
Located just within the eastern city limits, this
1.4 K loop is lit for night skiing. A total of 2K is groomed counting
the LHS athletic fields. The picture is from December 2000.
