Our next work/educational day begins at 9 a.m. at the north end of Stout Road on Saturday, May 13, 2006. Stout Road runs north from County Highway O/F about 3 miles west of the Trail crossing of O/F which isabout 5 miles west of Cristie Mountain on O. (Or take F north out of Weyerhaeuser.)

 

March 12,2005 Hike

14 people snowshoed or skied a 5 mile portion of the Ice Age Trail from Cty F to Stout Road in the Blue Hills on March 12. For a gallery of pictures, click here.

Local Chapter of Ice Age Foundation Established

The Blue Hills Chapter was organized in 1992 but has become more active in the last year.. The BHC maintains 24 miles of scenic trail that exist in the Blue Hills. Four miles of trail are in eastern Barron County and the rest are in Rusk County. The local trail system is largely due to the work of Adam Cahow. Maps of the Blue Hills can be found by scrolling down. Maps of other sections of the trail can be found at the main Ice Age Foundation website listed below. Contact information is:
